CRESCENDO

Presented by Haas

Turn It Up!

In CRESCENDO, two alliances compete to score Notes, amplify their Speaker, harmonize onstage, and take the spotlight before time runs out.

Robots collect orange foam rings called Notes from their Source and score them into the Amp and Speaker. In the endgame, robots climb chains on the Stage to harmonize.

The Game Pieces

The Note

Orange foam rings (14" OD). These are the primary game pieces. Robots pick them up from the floor or the Source and shoot them into the Speaker or Amp.

High Note

A special Note used only by Human Players during the endgame. Landing a High Note on a Microphone atop the Stage "Spotlights" robots for bonus points.

The Studio

The field is set up like a music studio. The primary objective is to score Notes into the Speaker (high goal) and the Amp (low goal).

Amplification: Scoring 2 Notes in the Amp allows the Human Player to AMPLIFY the Speaker, boosting points for 10 seconds.

Endgame: The Stage

In the final 20 seconds, robots race to the Stage to hang from chains.

  • Park: Just enter the Stage zone (1 pt).
  • Onstage: Hang safely from the chain (3 pts).
  • Harmony: Two robots on the same chain (2 pts bonus).
  • Trap: Score a Note into the Trap door on the Stage (5 pts).
